Frontier Innovation University's Low-Cost Online Bachelor's Degrees Are Built for Adults Returning to Study

Frontier Innovation University offers its bachelor's catalogue online at a low published price: tuition-free online study for the award, paid a semester at a time. Programs include business, computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, accounting and finance, psychology, economics, education studies and more.

The programs are designed for adults who did not go straight to university, or who started and had to stop. "The typical online undergraduate here is not eighteen," said the Dean of Undergraduate Studies. "They are thirty-five, working, with a specific reason for wanting the degree now — and a budget."

Recognition of prior learning matters for this group. An applicant with professional qualifications, completed modules from another institution, or assessed work experience can apply to have that recognised against parts of the degree, shortening both the time and the total fee to graduation.

Emily Carter, before a later promotion, completed a degree this way while working full time. "I had two years of credit from a course I abandoned a decade ago," they said. "Frontier looked at it properly, so I paid for fewer semesters."

The degrees are marked to standard and externally examined. Applying online is free; the first semester fee confirms the place; fee assistance is available. Study is part-time by default, with recorded teaching, published rubrics and a named adviser for the first year.
